The first has a custom alias. The second a random six-character code.

What you get

Custom endings, checked as you type: Type the ending you want and it says at once whether it is free, too short, or a word this site already uses.
Random codes: Leave the ending empty and you get a random code of 5 to 10 characters, without look-alike letters such as l and 1.
A list at a time: Paste one address per line (add a comma and an alias to choose its ending), or load a CSV with url and alias columns. Every valid line gets its own short link, and you are told which were left out.
Expiry and campaign tags: Stop a link after 1, 7 or 30 days or on a date, and add utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign to the address without breaking the ones it already has.
Your links, clicks and QR codes: The list shows each link with its clicks and expiry. Refresh the counts, copy or open a link, download its QR code (or all of them as a ZIP), delete it, or export the list as a CSV.
Web addresses only: Only http and https addresses can be shortened, so a short link can never be turned into something that runs code.

Good to know

Your list shows the links made with this browser (it remembers their endings on this device only) or, if you are signed in, all the links made with your account. Clear your browser data and an anonymous list is forgotten, though the links keep working.
The password option is a screen visitors see before they are sent on, not security. The destination and the password are stored with the link in a way that anyone who looks can read, so do not use it to protect anything private.
The redirect runs in the visitor's browser, so it takes a moment longer than a server redirect and needs JavaScript switched on.
Endings are 3 to 32 letters, numbers, dashes or underscores. Words this site already uses, such as "blog", are not allowed.
Lines in a list that are not valid, or whose ending is taken, are skipped, and you are told which. A list can have up to 200 lines.

Choosing a good alias

Keep it short and readable. Use letters, numbers and hyphens you can say out loud.
Make it describe the destination or the campaign, such as summer26.
Avoid characters that are easy to confuse, such as a lowercase L and the number 1.
An alias can be used once. If you need the same name for a new destination, delete the old link first.

To print a link, add its QR code. You can also make a QR code for any address with the QR code generator.

There is no fixed limit and no account. You can shorten one link, or paste a list or upload a CSV to shorten many at once.

Yes. Type an ending and your link becomes bulkwizards.com/your-ending. It tells you as you type whether it is free. In a list, put a comma and the ending after an address, or use an alias column in a CSV. Lines without one get a random code.

Not unless you set an expiry: in 1, 7 or 30 days, or on a date you pick. After it the link shows an expired message. Links you delete stop working.

You can add one, and visitors are asked for it before they are sent on. It is a light gate, not security: the password and the destination are stored with the link and can be read by someone who looks. Do not use it for anything private.

Yes. Each link in your list shows how many times it has been opened, and Refresh clicks updates the numbers. There are no charts or visitor details.

Yes. Signed in, the list shows every link you made with your account. Without an account it shows the links made in this browser. You can also export the list as a CSV.

Yes. Download a 1024-pixel PNG for any short link, or a ZIP of all of them.

Yes. Tick "Add campaign tags" and fill in source, medium and campaign. They are added to the address as utm_ tags, and any tags it already has are kept.

Only web addresses that start with http:// or https:// (or a bare domain, which gets https://). Other kinds, such as javascript: or ftp:, are refused.
