Shorten a link, or a whole list, free

Paste a long web address and get a short one on bulkwizards.com. Choose your own ending, set an expiry, add campaign tags, or shorten a list in one go. Every link gets a QR code and a click count.

Short links are easy to type, share and print. See the notes below for what the password option does and does not do.

Features

What you get

Custom endings, checked as you type
Type the ending you want and it says at once whether it is free, too short, or a word this site already uses.
Random codes
Leave the ending empty and you get a random code of 5 to 10 characters, without look-alike letters such as l and 1.
A list at a time
Paste one address per line (add a comma and an alias to choose its ending), or load a CSV with url and alias columns. Every valid line gets its own short link, and you are told which were left out.
Expiry and campaign tags
Stop a link after 1, 7 or 30 days or on a date, and add utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign to the address without breaking the ones it already has.
Your links, clicks and QR codes
The list shows each link with its clicks and expiry. Refresh the counts, copy or open a link, download its QR code (or all of them as a ZIP), delete it, or export the list as a CSV.
Web addresses only
Only http and https addresses can be shortened, so a short link can never be turned into something that runs code.

How it works

Shorten in four steps

  1. Paste your link

A full address, or just example.com and https:// is added for you.

  2. Choose the options

An ending, an expiry, campaign tags and a password screen are all optional.

  3. Shorten

Your short link appears in your list with its click count and QR code.

  4. Copy and share

Copy the link, download its QR code, or export the whole list.

Uses

When a short link helps

Print and posters

A short link, or its QR code, is far easier to read off paper than a long address.

Social posts and messages

Keep a message tidy and give the link a name people can remember.

Campaign links

Give each campaign its own alias and watch its click count.

Lists of links

Shorten a spreadsheet of addresses in one go.

Choosing a good alias

  • Keep it short and readable. Use letters, numbers and hyphens you can say out loud.
  • Make it describe the destination or the campaign, such as summer26.
  • Avoid characters that are easy to confuse, such as a lowercase L and the number 1.
  • An alias can be used once. If you need the same name for a new destination, delete the old link first.

To print a link, add its QR code. You can also make a QR code for any address with the QR code generator.
