Make hundreds of certificates from one spreadsheet

Design a certificate once, add your list of names, and get one for every row as PDF, PNG or JPG. Your files stay on your computer, and there is no watermark.

Free, no account. Open your Excel file, load a CSV or paste your list.

Features

What the studio does

Design on the page
Drag, resize and rotate text, photos, logos, QR codes and shapes right on the certificate, with undo and redo.
Your design or ours
Upload a blank PNG, JPG, WebP or PDF, or start from one of 13 ready designs with starter wording.
Open Excel files
Open an .xlsx workbook or a CSV, paste cells from Excel or Google Sheets, or type into an editable table.
Any language
Hindi, Tamil, Arabic and other scripts get a matching font, right-to-left text just works, and you can upload your own font.
Values from your columns
Write {Name} or {Course} in any text and every certificate fills in its own row.
Long names handled
Text can shrink to fit its box, and Check all rows lists any row that still does not fit.
Photos for everyone
Drop a folder or ZIP of photos: each is matched to its person by name or ID, with the face centred. Each certificate can carry its own QR code too.
PDF, PNG or JPG
One PDF, one PDF per person, or a ZIP of images, at half, full or double size.
Named from your data
File names come from a pattern like {ID}-{Name}, and repeats get a number instead of overwriting.

How to make certificates in bulk from Excel or CSV

Making certificates one at a time in a design tool means editing the same file over and over. Bulk generation flips that: you design one template, keep the names in a spreadsheet, and the tool produces one certificate per row.

  1. Get a blank certificate as a PNG, JPG or PDF, or use one of the ready backgrounds in the studio. A larger image prints sharper.
  2. Put your list in a spreadsheet: a header row, then one row per certificate. Typical columns are Name, Course, Date and an ID.
  3. Open the certificate studio and add your list in the Data step: open the Excel workbook or a CSV, or paste the cells straight from Excel or Google Sheets. With a CSV, use UTF-8 so accented and non-English names stay intact.
  4. In the Design step, add text, and put a column name in braces, like {Name}, wherever a value should appear. Drag, resize and rotate on the page, and set the font, size, colour and alignment.
  5. Step through the certificates with the arrows to see each one, then press Check all rows to find empty values or names that do not fit.
  6. In the Export step choose PDF, PNG or JPG, the size, the rows and the file names, then download the result.

What you can export

The export step lets you choose the format, the size (half, full or double your template), the range of rows and a pattern for the file names.

FormatGood forNotes
PDFPrinting and emailingOne PDF with a page for each certificate, or one PDF per person in a ZIP. Text is real text: sharp in print, searchable, and small files.
PNGEditing later, sharing on screenLossless, so the files are larger. Comes as a ZIP.
JPGEmailing many certificatesSmaller files, with a quality setting. Comes as a ZIP.

Photos and QR codes on each certificate

For ID-style certificates, event badges or a class of students, name each photo after the person or their ID (Priya Nair.jpg or DA-001.jpg) and drop the whole folder or a ZIP onto the studio. Every photo is matched to its person on its own, the face is centred in the frame, and a check screen shows anyone still missing a photo.

A QR code element can hold text with column values in it, such as a verify link ending in {ID}, so every certificate carries its own code.

Tips for clean results

  • Look at your longest name first. Use the Find a name box to jump to it, and turn on shrink-to-fit for the name box.
  • Run Check all rows before exporting. Fixing a typo later means exporting again, not editing one file.
  • Export a few rows on their own as a test, using the From row and To row boxes.
  • Save your project file once the layout is right, so you can open it again for the next batch.
